How much cannabis can I purchase at your store?

A customer can purchase up to 30 grams of cannabis or the equivalent of 30 grams for any products containing cannabis at a time, provided they have a government issued ID that shows they are at least 19 years of age.

How am I able to purchase cannabis at your store?

Aside from the traditional in-store purchase methods, at Olive Jar Cannabis, we offer an online order system through our website so that the consumer could pre-order their purchase and pay and pick up their products in store OR pay online and pick up their product in store at a later time. The credit card used for the transaction must be shown to the Olive Jar Cannabis associate upon pick up.

What is the AGCO and why does it affect me?

The AGCO (Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario) is an agency of the provincial government that is responsible for regulating Ontario’s alcohol, gaming and horse racing sectors, and cannabis retail stores in accordance with principles of honesty and integrity, in the public interest.

How will I know what types of products to buy?

What if I don’t like to smoke? Can I still consume THC?

Of course! We offer a variety of edibles, capsules, oils, and infused drinks, all of which can be consumed orally. View our full online menu.

What is on special/discount?

Every Monday, we offer a 15% discount on all of our accessories as well as a 10% discount for seniors over the age of 60 every day of the week!

What’s the highest THC percentage that Olive Jar Cannabis carries?

The highest THC product we currently have in our store at the time of writing is the Pure Sunfarms High THC 0.5 gram 510 vape cartridge, clocking in at about 91% THC. We also carry flower with THC percentages slightly surpassing 30% and even infused pre-rolls with percentages exceeding 40%.

What price ranges does Olive Jar Cannabis carry?

I purchased flower and found that it’s dry. Why is it so dry?

Depending on the grower and the particular batch of flower you purchased, there can be a situation in which your particular batch may not have had its moisture preserved as well as others,  which could result in a dryer product.

In the event this were to happen, you are more than welcome to reach out to us via email or come in and we will do what we can to resolve the issue.

What is your favourite strain/product in the store?

Our staff picks include many amazing products such as the Purple Hills Creemore Valley Kush live resin 510 vape cartridge, the Loud Plug Benny Blunto 0.5 gram blunts, the Orchid CBD Runtz 3.5 gram flower, and more!

Why is the government so strict on cannabis?

The government laws on cannabis are strict for many reasons, some of which are to restrict youth access to cannabis, protect the public health through safety and quality requirements, limit the illicit market and to enhance public awareness of the health risks associated with cannabis.

Licensed production of cannabis is controlled by the federal government, and distribution and sale of cannabis is controlled by the provincial government.

What is the difference between Indica and Sativa?

Indica is known to give more of a body high whereas Sativa is known for providing users with a more energetic head high. There are also hybrid strains that are both Indica and Sativa which would give a nice balance of a head and body high.

Where is your cannabis grown?

In our store we carry strains that were grown in many different locations across Canada. All of these growers are licensed producers that must adhere to Health Canada requirements.

What is your return policy?

We understand sometimes you need to return something you purchase from us. Make sure you keep your receipt and come see us before 14 days of purchase. There are restrictions on what we can refund. You can learn more about our return policy here.

What do I need to bring to your dispensary?

One piece of Government ID with your picture and your birth date, showing that you are over 19 years of age

You can also bring anything you’d like to show us, like the coolest vape you have, an award you’ve received, or your dog – we have treats!

If you’d like to try something new – bring an adventurous attitude and our Budtenders will help you find something new and exciting to try!

Do you accept credit cards at your dispensary?

Yes, we accept Visa and Mastercard as well as Debit and cash

If you have credit with us, that will be listed in your profile and can be used as payment

Do you have an ATM at your cannabis store?

Unfortunately, we do not. However, we accept credit cards, debit cards, cash and there are lots of banks in the area

Do you offer cannabis delivery?

Not at this time. However, you can place an order ahead of time and come pick it up so it’s a quick process. You can also pay for that order online or in store.

I’m new to cannabis. What should I do?

We were all new to cannabis at one point – come on into our store, bring your government ID with you and one of our knowledgeable budtenders would be happy to assist you!

If you’re interested in trying cannabis, there are so many different options for you. It all depends on preference but the general rule is “Start Low and Go Slow”!

We also have books, accessories, and apparel – so if you want some cannabis swag and go from there, that’s okay too!
